Certification Information
Members enhance their skills and earn valuable recognition of their professional ability through MSMTA’s and MTNA’s certification programs. Certified members pursue further education and training to renew their teaching certificate. Certification promotes the highest standards of teaching.

Scholarship Fundraising Information
Beginning in September, teachers solicit sponsorships from local individuals and businesses. All profits from the concert & sponsorships are used for scholarships for students of KAMTA members who have a major or minor in music or are attending a music camp. During Christmas break, past scholarship winners are invited to perform in a concert hosted by KAMTA members. Tickets are available from KAMTA members.

Scholarship Information
KAMTA accepts scholarship applications in the early spring from students of KAMTA teachers who are pursuing a major or minor degree in music or plan to attend a music camp. The teacher’s studio must have participated in the current scholarship fundraising.

KAMTA Vocal Festival Information
The purpose of this adjudicated festival is for vocal student enrichment. The adjudicator is a professional invited from out of the area.

Spring Festival Information
The Spring Festival is an MSMTA-sponsored event in which area students have the opportunity to perform and to be evaluated by adjudicators. The adjudicators are specialists in their fields of music and offer encouragement and direction for the students.
